Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent certification for international graduates)
• Active New Mexico veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
• Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine
• Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a veterinary healthcare team
• Passion for patient care, client service, and professional development

Preferred

• Experience in mixed animal, companion animal, large animal, or equine medicine
• Interest in surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventive care
• Experience managing urgent care and same-day cases
• Interest in livestock production medicine or herd health management
• Desire to contribute to a positive hospital culture and collaborative work environment

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
