Who we are:

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center is independently owned and has been serving North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota communities since 2005. We are a VECCS level 2 Emergency center and North Dakota’s only 24/7 emergency hospital, who has expanded to provide our specialists with their dream space to practice. We currently have two Critical Care Specialists, a Surgeon, Oncologist, and Internist. Along with our Criticalists, we have 13 experienced emergency veterinarians backed by a great support staff and management team. Having owners who work in our hospital gives our leadership team a great perspective on how to support our staff and to make sure a good work-life balance is provided (we don’t just advertise it, we practice it). Our hospital owners and leadership team want our doctors to practice how they want and make sure you have any and all the support, equipment, and staff you need to run your department.

Our facility currently has all the bells and whistles including a large ICU, 2 surgery suites, extensive in-house lab, bedside oxygen, Snyder O2 units, 16 slice helical CT, advanced ultrasound and echo services, GI endoscope, and our own blood bank. Our two-story specialty center has two more surgery suites, 8 additional exam rooms, room for fluoro capabilities and our digital x-ray system include wireless DR plates for intraop use. Anything else our specialists require or need for their department, we will provide!

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center is a well-established VECCS level 2 certified center with an exceptional reputation for having served North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota communities for over 16 years. We are North Dakota's only 24/7 regional emergency hospital who is 100% local veterinarian owned.
