Our feline practice located in Western New York is seeking another feline focused, progressive, and enthusiastic associate veterinarian to join our team.
Summer Street Cat Clinic was established over 40 years ago and has been highly regarded in the communities with a very loyal and growing clientele. There are two locations: Getzville and Buffalo which are just 20 minutes apart. Our Getzville location borders the State University at Buffalo. We have lots of walking trails right outside the hospital and a backyard to relax in. Our downtown Buffalo location is a beautifully renovated carriage house that offers a historical vibe having been built in the late 1800’s and in the heart of the historical district. This location is very cozy, efficient, and charming. Clients are known to go back and forth between the two as well as our team members, but we are flexible to your needs.
As an associate veterinarian of Summer Street Cat Clinic, you will be a part of the only all feline hospital in Western New York. We know that veterinary care is not one size fits all, especially with cats, that is why we strive to tailor our care based on the needs of the patient and their family. We also have regular staff meetings to ensure that we are providing best practices for our clients, patients, and staff. Enjoy a regular weekly schedule with flexibility, excellent benefits, employee discounts, staff outings and annual celebrations! Having many years of experience helping others, mentorship is a big focus of ours, so we welcome new graduates. We achieve as a team with doctors collaborating on cases and the excellent work of our support staff. At Summer Street Cat Clinic, you will love what you do. We are a well-respected practice who is proud to be part of the Niagara Frontier Pet Emergency Fund, which has helped fund over 1 million dollars to the veterinary community to help clients in their time of need.
Currently we are a 3 doctor veterinarian practice. We have been privately running for almost 40 years but recently decided to join National Veterinary Associates, who owns many non-branded hospitals throughout the U.S. and other countries. More than 50% of our employees have been with us for more than 15 years, some even since the beginning (1981). We cultivate a supportive environment where you can grow and feel appreciated. Our services consist of preventative medicine, behavior consultations, weight management and nutrition, surgery, and dentistry. Digital radiology and cardiac ultrasound. No critical care, on call or boarding.
Buffalo is a wonderful place to live and offers everything you could want including minimum congestion, all four seasons, family friendliness, city life, reasonable cost of living, major league sports, boating, skiing, arts, music, theatre, nature and much more!
NVA™ is the largest private owner of freestanding veterinary hospitals.
NVA owns more than 1000 veterinary hospitals and pet resorts in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. We have over 14,000 veterinary professionals that improve the well-being of patients by providing progressive and compassionate veterinary care. Our 4,000 veterinarians provide a full range of medical and surgical services.
NVA was founded in 1996 by Stanley Creighton, DVM with an emphasis on supporting local medical standards as established by individual hospitals and practitioners. He believed that veterinary medicine is best practiced when veterinarians craft their own hospital and community specific strategies for high quality patient care and client services.
The vision continues at NVA as we make available the tools and resources for hospitals to achieve their medical goals while avoiding any single standardized national plan that might not be the best fit for an individual hospital. The tools and resources include our national medical database, training and education for staff, and any emerging nationally published research and standards. Managing veterinarians decide... what level of medicine they would like their hospital to achieve, and NVA will support them in getting there.
