We are seeking a compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian, either full or part-time, to join our warm and welcoming, veterinarian-owned companion animal practice in the picturesque rural setting of southwestern Vermont, near the New York border. Our well-established practice, known for its high standard of care and focus on client education, has been a cornerstone of the community since 1986.
The practice owner, with over 20 years of experience and a deep passion for mentoring, is eager to support the right candidate. DVM or equivalent, VT Licensure, Accredidation a plus. General small animal medical appointments and basic surgery skills, including spay/neuter of dogs and cats, dental extractions, and lumpectomies (2-3 surgery mornings/week and appointments all day). We also offer abdominal foreign body surgery, gastropexy and enucleations but no declaws or orthopedic surgeries. Typically, you will have 1-2 (your choice) surgery mornings/week, then have time to write reports before starting medical appointments at 2pm. On non-surgery days, appointments start at 8:20am and end at 4:30pm. Absolutely must work well with a team and enjoy interacting with clients.
2 doctor (ready to add a 3rd) small animal practice in southwestern VT with a licensed technician specialist (ECC), as well as other 4 other technicians and support staff. Established in 1986, we are open M-F 8-5 and Sat 8-12 for general practice and surgery, with no overnight or after hours emergencies. Owner has a special interest in canine reproduction, behavior and teaching. No boarding or grooming. The building is in the process of doubling in size, which will allow us to comfortably grow. We offer high quality, non-rushed medical care to our patients, with referrals to nearby emergency/specialist hospitals as needed. Most importantly, we all like and support each other and understand the need for work-life balance.
