Missoula Veterinary Clinic celebrates over 55 years of providing compassionate and excellent veterinary care to pets in the Missoula, MT community. We are a 7 DVM practice that is in the process of expanding our physical structure, staff and services. Our practice culture is one of focusing on the well being of our teams, clients and their pets. Missoula is a growing community and we are looking for the right MDVM to help manage the clinic growth while abiding by the culture we have established over the last 5 decades.

WHAT WE OFFER OUR CLIENTS
Care for all stages of a pet’s life, from that first year of excitement and fun to the golden years of a longtime beloved friend.
Medical care that includes general medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, fully integrated dentistry, and acupuncture plus a list of referral doctors for complicated cases.
Equipment to help us in the quality care that is expected. We have an in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, patient anesthetic monitoring, patient warming systems. We also have access to multiple outside referral labs for the best diagnostics.
The Managing DVM is responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing DVM is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing DVM are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership.

Skills and Basic Qualifications:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills through charting and in appointments with clients.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
The ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members.
Capable of quality decision making.
The ability to coach, correct, develops, and motivates Associate DVM’s.
Demonstrates excellent time and task management.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to- date w/assistance from Lead Tech.
Stays current on new medical information and changes to veterinary medicine.
