The Humane Society Associate Veterinarian works 3 or 4 days per week at the Animal Shelter Veterinary Suite Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of shelter animals; uphold medical standards of care Perform a variety of procedures as needed including high-volume spay and neuter; Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications Maintain knowledge of shelter medicine including common infectious diseases and conditions and their treatment Conduct diagnostic procedures; we refer out necessary services for x-ray, sonogram, etc. as we do not have that equipment in our veterinary suite Promote continuing development of medical care through continued education; keep abreast of ve
