Dufferin Veterinary Hospital is looking for part-time or full-time Veterinarians to join our team who are team players, have a sound moral judgment and are compassionate. Our hospital is located in Dufferin, Ontario, approximately 90 minutes North-West of Toronto. Dufferin County is surrounded by beautiful provincial parks and is a popular tourist destination year-round with numerous local events and festivals.

Our facility is equipped with digital x-ray, full functional surgical suite, ultrasound, full laboratory onsite with access to all Idexx Reference Lab amenities. We are affiliated with the HWY 10 Emergency Clinic, which manages after hour emergencies and end of day transfers for patients who require overnight monitoring. We also utilize mobile veterinary professionals specializing in orthopedic surgeries and procedures, ultrasound and echo-cardiograms, which allow our patients access to timely and local referral services.

Your role would include:
- Performing complete and accurate physical examinations on companion animals including routine, urgent and emergency cases
- Formulating relevant differential diagnoses, applying appropriate diagnostic modalities and interpreting their results
- Creating an appropriate medical plan and effectively executing required medical procedures and treatments.
- Prescribing appropriate therapeutics
- Performing routine surgical procedures including dental surgery
- Vaccinating animals to help prevent diseases
- Advising clients on feeding, enrichment, behaviour, hygiene and general care of companion animals
- Compassionately and respectfully communicating with clients and associate team members for a collaborative approach to patient care
- Other duties as assigned
