The Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries (FAVF) in the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal is keen to increase global interaction.
International veterinary students and faculty are welcome to visit the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, or other departments, of the FAVF.
This could either be for a period of externship (although this program does not officially exist in the FAVF at the moment), or as a casual visitor, or part of an exchange (either formal or informal).
Placement may also be possible for those interested in wildlife conservation in the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) at Chitwan National Park.
(My assignment in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is funded by the Government of Australia. My aims are to improve clinical teaching, introduce new diagnostic equipment and provide training in their use, provide access to eLearning resources, and increase global exposure.)
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
An interest and willingness to participation in clinical and non-clinical procedures.
Interaction with students and staff.
Ability to accept a different culture.
