Howes Cave Animal Hospital is a progressive, rural, well equipped 3 doctor small animal hospital in the Capital District Region in Upstate New York. We are looking for a full time or part time fourth doctor.  Although we are a small hospital, it is a very productive practice that sees a variety of cases and has a heavy surgical schedule.  Surgery isn't a requirement, however if you have an interest there is ample opportunity to apply your skills.  The hospital has 3 exam rooms, a large treatment area, pharmacy/lab, and a 2 bay surgical suite with a beautiful view of the hills and valley.  Our hospital has digital X-ray, dental X-ray, new ultrasound, cold laser, a well stocked pharmacy, surgical equipment, and boarding.  There are 3 experienced veterinary technicians and a great support staff awaiting to assist you.  For full time employment benefits include 401-K retirement, paid veterinary association dues and insurance, paid health care, CE allotment, paid time off and many opportunities to improve and expand your veterinary career.  We currently do not see exotic pets, however if this is your area of expertise, it can be added to our repertoire.  There are some shared light weekend duties, but no after hour emergencies or on call hours.   Many of out staff are long term employees and we have many patients (and clients) that stay with us for a lifetime.  Come join our family we look forward to hearing from you soon.
