Job Responsibilities:
The Lead Veterinarian would be responsible for all medical, surgical, and dental procedures performed in the hospital. The ideal candidate will be helping to uphold the standards of the practice by creating a positive work environment for the entire clinic. It is important that the candidate be able to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients.
- Responsible for ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices as well as the delivery of patient care
- Works in partnership with the Practice Manager to ensure high standard of medical case management
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative care
- Perform physical exams and diagnostic, surgical, medical, and dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care
- Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
- Maintain client-patient medical and surgical records
- Assist in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
- DVM/VMD degree
- Licensure in good standing
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to self-manage your time
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
- Professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
- Commitment to ongoing educational growth
