Who We are
Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center (RRAEH) is North Dakota’s only 24/7 Small Animal Emergency and Referral Hospital. Founded in 2005 by a group of local veterinarians, our hospital has continued to grow year after year while remaining independently owned with a team who cares about its community, patients, and each other. We are currently expanding our hospital for both our emergency services but also to include a dedicated space for Boarded Specialists in Surgery, Internal Med, Oncology, and Ophthalmology.
We currently have 2 Boarded Critical Care Specialists, both with backgrounds in academia and 11 Experienced Emergency Veterinarians. Whether you are tired of working for a corporate organization, want to grow your skills beyond wellness and preventive care, or just finished school and are interested in Emergency; RRAEH wants to support you and your goals!
RRAEH is a well-established VECCS level 2 facility that boasts a large ICU, 2 surgery suites, extensive in-house lab, bedside oxygen, Snyder O2 units, 16 slice helical CT, advanced ultrasound and echo services, GI endoscope, and our own blood bank. Our Criticalists also provide hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and mechanical ventilator therapies. The two-story specialty center currently being built will have two more surgery suites (4 total), 8 additional exam rooms, room for fluoro capabilities and our digital x-ray system will include wireless DR plates for intraop use.
