The Wild, Wild West is calling… Wide Open Spaces, independent open minds, and endless opportunity, is this exactly what you’ve been waiting for?
We are looking for an outstanding human and exceptional Full-Time DVM to join our Butte Veterinary Center team! This is the sign you’ve been looking for... an invitation to leave your nest and join the Montana lifestyle!
"Next time you turn off a news cycle filled with shouting bobble heads convinced that America is devolving into a demonic inferno, questioning the greatness of your nation, maybe you should come here."
-Anthony Bourdain when visiting Butte
Nestled a mile high in the mountains- Butte, Montana is classic small-town charm with a big city feel, thankfully without the hustle and bustle headache. We’re conveniently tucked between the Rockies, Yellowstone and Glacier National Park for those of you who enjoy basking in the outdoors. Next door to the West is funky and colorful Missoula, and to the east is beautiful, shiny Bozeman. You’ll never run out of adventure in any direction.
As for our clinic, Butte Veterinary Center is a full-service mixed-animal practice providing high-caliber, compassionate care. We offer urgent and emergency care, alongside our routine general practice services for small companion animals to farm/large animals and most critters in-between.
Our team has advanced training in small animal surgery, critical care, dentistry and more. This position is actually a permaship….no intern or extern about it, the learning never stops… ever. We aim to train you as well as learn from you… co-mentorship and putting you on track for you yourself to be a professor. Intellectual sparring, curiosity and questioning, willing to explore the yet unexplored, all encouraged and expected.
Our ideal applicant would be an adaptable, positive team member. He or she would be a proficient diagnostician and understand the appropriate courses of treatment for large and small animals, and also be able to perform high-quality, basic surgery independently.
For the right candidate and when fully staffed, we will offer a four day work week. A two-year commitment is required, and a three-year commitment is available for those who would like to take advantage of our advanced training benefit ($12,000 towards training in an area of your interest, subject to management approval.) Emergency and on-call is shared with the other veterinarians.
We are focused on offering the quality of life for which this profession is starving. Do not forget the oath that you have taken… First “Do No Harm.” Take care of yourself by finding the right place to call home, the right team to grow and blossom with, and do no harm - starting with yourself. We want to be the veterinarian for the people who gratefully love, and respect their veterinarians as well as their animals. Working in the Vetexperts Guild is a unique exception to what else is out there- and may be just the right fit for you and your aspirations.
If you’d like to casually chat about what Vetexperts is about and all we have to offer, feel free to shoot Dr. Bruce a text at (208) 255-8983!
Adaptability, positivity, curiosity, sense of controlled urgency. We are offering a skills based compensation where the more proficient and timely you become in your skill acquisition, the more we can afford to offer and the more that opens up to learn. This same mentorship that we offer you, we expect you to deliver to our team, externs and aspiring young next generation of veterinarians.
