Unique Shelter Opportunity for Veterinarians of any experience level.
A non-profit, no-kill Animal Shelter in north-west New Jersey is seeking a shelter veterinarian. Every year as many as 1,500 animals move through the shelter, which can host as many as 125 adult animals and their young. The permitting of a new, larger shelter is also underway. This opportunity allows a small animal veterinarian to aid both the community and its animal population while gaining exposure to all facets of small animal care within the shelter and within the shelter’s companion animal hospital. Shelter work can include preventative care, diagnostics, treatment, and surgery. The affiliated animal hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental and diagnostics. The shelter is operated as a 501c3 and allows the experienced veterinarian to work independently but also has mentoring available from experienced veterinarians. Flexible scheduling is available with a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Ideal opportunity for anyone who joined the veterinarian profession to improve animal welfare and care. Satisfaction with veterinary medicine guaranteed.
