Wanted: Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinarian with desire to enjoy their work day

We are a 3 doctor, small animal exclusive, patient centered practice in scenic Gulfport, Mississippi, in need of an associate veterinarian. Our practice focuses and insists on excellent patient care, building relationships with clients and providing a respectful work environment for our staff. We have low staff turnover due mainly to a pleasant work atmosphere and paying above-average staff wages which translates to a happy, well-trained, skilled staff. With our team, you will be free to utilize your professional capabilities. Our tech:doctor ratio is generally 2 or 3 to 1. We really want someone who looks forward to developing long-term relationships with clients and allows and encourages support staff to improve their skills and enjoy their workday. You will enjoy working in our beautiful, 5-year-old, well-equipped facility which is located just a few miles from the Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches. We are far enough away to be safe from storm surge but close enough to enjoy all the things a coastal community offers. Boating, fishing, seafood and beautiful sand beaches on our barrier islands are just a few local offerings. All of us here on the MS Gulf Coast know we are a well-kept secret. While we recognize our state’s shortcomings, we also know our area has many neighborhoods that provide reasonable housing costs, which are excellent places to raise a family and contain exceptional public and private schools.

Our practice provides a bond-centered environment that is exciting and professionally challenging while maintaining our focus on client and patient service. Through the use of ultrasound, digital radiology, in-house lab work, multi-modal anesthetic monitors, Class IV therapeutic laser, and numerous other tools, we provide exceptional care for patients and great service for clients. We have an attached pet lodge that not only provides our boarding patients a comfortable, roomy stay but also provides us with an additional referral base. We have an active online presence utilizing both our website and our Facebook page. Our compensation package and benefits package are very competitive and includes group health insurance. Our work schedule includes having off 1 set weekday and working a ½ day every other Saturday. Our full time DVM positions generally result in 36-38 hour workweeks. We are open to the full range of experience levels from new grads to docs with years of experience. We fully expect to provide mentoring to more recent veterinary graduates. Part time position possible.

We refer after hours emergencies to our local animal ER.

Compensation can be either salary or production-based or a combination of the two. Our present docs have incomes ranging from 85,000 to 150,000 depending on production.
