Countryside Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate to join their collaborative 3 doctor practice! We hope to add a veterinarian who is committed to both the present and future growth of this long-established small animal practice. Countryside Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility offering services to the pets of Alachua County for over 25 years. We practice small animal medicine and would welcome a doctor with a passion for small animal and exotics.
We practice excellent GP care including wellness, surgeries, diagnostics, and have modern equipment including dental x-ray and laser therapy. We have a strong focus on dentistry and have 100% dental x-ray compliance. Our hospital is recently renovated to create a more modern and spacious setting.
We value work/life balance! There is no after hours call and our doctors work 4 days a week and rotating half day Saturday. We have skilled, tenured staff and technicians to provide our doctors the support they need. And, our team is like family!
Our ideal DVM candidate will have a positive attitude and great work ethic as well as interest in the preservation and continuity of the "human/animal bond," both inside and outside the practice. Of course, we want someone who practices great medicine, is progressive and growth oriented, both professionally and personally. We are seeking a doctor with a compassionate and kind approach.
Why Alachua? We are a peaceful and close-knit community on the outskirts of Gainesville and the University of Florida. We are minutes to all the amenities of a college town including dining, shopping, art, and entertainment, and easy access to the resources of the vet school in our back yard. Florida's beautiful springs are moments from the clinic. The beach, Orlando’s theme parks, and Tampa’s big city activities are all 2 hours or less drive. We truly enjoy the best of both worlds with the quiet small-town charm of our practice location and the amenities of medium and large cities just a quick jump away!

About Countryside Animal Hospital
The veterinary profession isn’t like any other—it’s the only field predicated on the love of a patient who can’t tell you what’s hurting and can only look to you for help. It takes a special kind of person to do that job, or the jobs supporting that job. NVA doesn’t create those special people—we find them, cultivate them, and give them resources and opportunities to do what only they can do. Whether treating patients, managing a pet resort, or serving hospitals from NVA’s Support Center, NVA’s animal professionals are caring people, united by a love of animals. NVA is proud to honor that connection and is committed to serving our team members by providing them with the tools, support, and freedom to be the professionals they’ve always wanted to be.
