Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury (VREC Westbury) is a 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty referral practice in Westbury, New York.
The Hospital Director is responsible for overseeing the business aspects of hospital operations and upholding a sound medical environment in a very large veterinary hospital that includes specialty and emergency. The Director will be working daily in a company that genuinely values local input and decision-making. The Director will support 6 Leaders/Supervisors, the Intern Director and the Medical Director to meet goals and foster an excellent service culture and working environment.
Responsibilities:
Accountability for the hospital profit & loss statements
Responsibility to foster a collaborative and positive culture and work environment
Focus on exceeding client expectations
Oversight of Leaders/Supervisors, Intern Director and Medical Director who support approximately 80 associates including doctors, technicians, veterinary assistants and paraprofessional staff
Develop and grow future leaders
Oversight and development of on-boarding, training and continuity programs
Cultivate relationships within the veterinary community
Support the recruitment of medical professionals
